Jay-Z’s former business partner and friend was arrested in a major marijuana distribution case. Kareem Burke one of the founders of Roc-A-Fella record label has pleaded guilty in New York to marijuana distribution charges.
Kareem Burke entered the plea Thursday in federal court in Manhattan. The 38-year-old was arrested in October 2010 along with more than 50 other people in raids targeting a wholesale marijuana ring in New York and Florida.
Authorities seized nearly $2 million and more than 360 pounds of marijuana in the probe.
Burke is facing up to 6 years in prison. Sentencing is May 18th 2012.
