One of my fave hip hop rappers of all times.. CL (Pete Rock & CL Smooth) will be dropping a solo LP soon. I will check that out. Also, be on the lookout for a reunion LP from both CL and Pete Rock.
Veteran hip hop star CL Smooth has announced that he will be releasing his first solo album in six years. The famed rhymer is set to release The Emancipation of Corey Penn in early 2013.
CL and his legendary former partner, superproducer Pete Rock, are celebrating the 20-year anniversary of their classic album Mecca and the Soul Brother. They've embarked ona world tour and will be performing in London later this month.
There are reports that the duo is working on an album together, as well.
