Prolly the biggest song in Hip Hop history..

The Library of Congress will be enshrining the pioneering hip hop single "Rapper's Delight" by the Sugarhill Gang this week. The seminal recording joins other hip hop recordings by artists like 2Pac and De La Soul in the Library, which preserves recordings deemed historically significant.

Also being honored are Donna Summer's 1977 hit "I Feel Love"; Prince's acclaimed Purple Rain album; as well as the first known commercial sound recording, dating to 1888 and 1930s and '40s news reports and speech excerpts from journalist Edward R. Murrow's "I Can Hear It Now" radio program.

25 sound recordings will be enshrined in the Library of Congress' National Recording Registry, library officials announced.
