The Knicks are still looking to grab the Division. Coach Mike Woodson thinks this is still an option.

The Knicks hope to climb to the No. 4 spot in the Eastern Conference and open the playoffs with homecourt advantage.

“I’m looking at one thing and one thing only,’’ said Mike Woodson, who is 13-4 since taking over as coach. “That’s winning the division. I’m trying to get this team to understand they still have a legitimate shot to win the division. That means more to me than anything — to be able to host the first round in front of our fans. We couldn’t ask for much more than that.”

Looks like the 6th seed at this point is more of an option. This would place us against the Pacers as opposed to the Heat who are currently placed as the 2 seed.

With seven games left, the Knicks are three-and-a-half games behind Boston for the fourth seed.

“We got a legitimate shot if we continue to win out,” Woodson said. “If you don’t’ push that and force guys to think that way, you’re in it for the wrong reasons. It will give us a lot better chance to get out of the first round.’’
