J.R. Smith Dumps K. Michelle

WELP.. That didn't take long.. but JR SWish sets teh record straight and well.. K. Michelle does also..

So apparently, K. Michelle and J.R. Smith's love affair is over. Again.

Despite tweeting about going home with each other just a few days ago, yesterday (December 18th) Smith made it clear that he is not with the "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" star.

"Thats not my girl! im SINGEL! I don’t care how u spell it!" the Knicks guard tweeted. "#NOWifey here. Some of y’all want ya cake an eat it too! Lol I just want the #Cake. Sorry I ain’t like most! When I’m with someone I’m with someone! When I’m not I’m not! You don’t have to like it! #ITSME."

And that tweet last week about taking K. Michelle home?

"First of all she sent it from my phone!" he claimed.

K. Michelle joked around about the incident.

"Damn can’t I kiss a sexy man In the club without y’all marrying me off???" she tweeted. "I’m just young and getting it! He dumps me every two weeks, damn I thought I at least had a couple days left! Guess he didn’t wanna buy me no Christmas Gift. Maybe he’ll take me back in JAN."

Let the song speak for it..

Well at least for ONE NIGHT.. K. Michelle got her wish as she and New York Knicks Star J.R. Smith hooked up.. check it out..

K. Michelle made it plain a week ago that she was still lusting after her former flame J.R. Smith. Admitting that the Knicks guard pops into her head "every time [she] thinks of something sexual," the "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" star openly revealed that she regretted pushing him away.

Well, it looks like she didn't push him that far.

The two were spotted at New York’s Kiss & Fly after the Knicks defeated the Los Angeles Lakers, and both made sure to let everyone know what their plans for the evening were.

“Hello world @kmichelle is going home with me! #hoodlove” Smith tweeted.

K. Michelle soon confirmed.

"U damn right baby me and you against the world! keep hating” she replied.

K. Michelle Wants J.R. Smith Back

Shouts to MY KNICKS FIRST FOR SMASHING THE MIAMI HEAT LAST NIGHT BY 20 WITH NO MELO.. YALL ACT LIKE YALL DONT CARE BUT YOU DO.. *clears throat* Looks like R&B Singer and Reality Star wants HER man back.. WHO?? New York Knicks SG J.R. Smith..

"Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" star K. Michelle seems like a strong woman. But the sassy singer from Memphis admitted in a recent interview with Hot 97 that one man made her weak--and she wants him back.

The reality star spoke openly about how her pushing away New York Knicks star J.R. Smith ended their relationship, and said that she would like to make things right.

"I'm very open in saying that I want him back," she said frankly.

She also wrote a song for Smith, asking for forgiveness.

"Once I had a taste of that real," she continued. "I don't want nobody else."

I wonder what Tahiry has to say about this??

Ronnie Brewer To Start At SG For The Knicks

Newly aquirred New York Knick Ronnie Brewer looking to start at shooting guard.

Ronnie Brewer is likely to start at shooting guard ahead of J.R. Smith.

Brewer is considered a plus-defender who can guard multiple positions.

"A lot of people want to play defense but some people just don't have the ability to do it," the 6-7 veteran said. "... I take pride in defense and, in my opinion, I think defense wins championships."

Brewer turned down more lucrative deals elsewhere to play for the Knicks.

"It didn't come down to money," said Brewer, who believes the Knicks have enough talent to compete against the Heat. "It's where you want to go and where you feel comfortable."

I totally agree with having Ronnie start at SG.. it makes perfect sense especially with Shump out until Feb-March. haveing JR come off the bench leading the 2nd squad is something is done quite nicely last season, plus this gives him more shots. Looking forward to this season already. it's been a minute since I have been this way about Knicks hoops.

Marcus Camby RETURNS To The Knicks

WELCOME BACK MARCUS CAMBY!!!!!!!

Marcus Camby has agreed to rejoin the New York Knicks in a deal that sends three players and two second-round draft picks to the Houston Rockets, according to a person with direct knowledge of the move.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity because neither team has announced the trade.

The Rockets, continuing to reshape their roster after missing the playoffs for the third straight season, will get guard Toney Douglas, centers Josh Harrelson and Jerome Jordan and second-round picks in 2014 and 2015. Camby, meanwhile, returns to New York, where he played from 1998-2002.

Houston obtained Camby from Portland at the trading deadline. He averaged 7.1 points and 9.3 rebounds in 19 games for the Rockets, who traded starting center Samuel Dalembert before last month’s draft. (AP)

Nash will explore all of his options in free agency.

"I want to wait and see what's actually on the table," he said. "I'm open and excited. I'm looking at every possibility right now. It sounds like there are a number of teams that are interested."

Iman Shumpert Talks About His Return To The Knicks

Shump speaks on his return back to the Knicks following his injury.

Iman Shumpert underwent surgery last month to repair a torn ACL in his left knee and is expected to miss the first two months of next season.

“The target date [for my return] is January,” Shumpert said.

Shumpert is encouraged by the progress of his rehab.

“It feels great,” Shumpert said of his knee. “[The rehab] is going well. I’ve got a great training staff with me, and I trust them 100 percent. I’m going to them Monday through Friday, and on the weekends I just ice it and do regular stuff.”

J.R. Smith is Still Undecided On Future w/ Knicks...

I know J.R. was a HUGE addition to our team and I will say I don't wanan see the hommie go.. looks like he doesn't wanna..

J.R. Smith has not decided whether he will pick up his $2.44 million option to play for the Knicks next season.

"I'm getting kind of spoiled right now, going up and down the Turnpike," Smith said of his stint with the Knicks. "My mom's right there. She's cooking. She's coming up to New York and cleaning my place.

"After having that, I think it's going to be harder off the court than it will be on the court [to leave]. On the court basketball is basketball everywhere. But you got your family and friends and everybody, so it will be tough."

Mike Woodson has encouraged Smith to work on his mid-range game.

"Not so much a jump shooter, but get to the basket more, which is something I definitely have to work on, without a doubt," Smith said. "Get to the free-throw line. To be athletic and having the talent that I have and not get to the free-throw line, it's tough."

Carmelo Anthony Talks Next Season..

Looks like Melo will be taking a leadership role in the Knicks offseason moves..

Carmelo Anthony is optimistic about the prospects of a full training camp with Mike Woodson as the Knicks' coach.

“That’s big,” Anthony said. “I think coming into camp if you can have a group of guys that’s known for playing with each other, that’s been around guys, been around each other for a long period of time, you start building from there, you start getting used to each other.”

Anthony will help the Knicks recruit free agents this summer.

“When the front office asks me to call somebody, I’ll give them a shout” he said. “If I feel that somebody can help us, I’ll give him a shout.”

Scott Machado Wants to Play For the KNICKS??

Looks like the Iona PG wants to play for the KNICKS..

Scott Machado, a 6-foot-1 point guard, sees himself as a good fit for the Knicks.

"For any point guard that wants to play here, I feel like it's a good opportunity," Machado said. "They got some players that are banged up, hurt or some players that are retiring or old.

"As far as the opportunity here, it's a wonderful spot, they have a lot of pieces. Somewhere they need to grow solid in is the point guard spot. That's my opinion. I feel like it's a good opportunity for any point guard."

Machado led the nation in assists as a senior at Iona, a small Division I school located in New Rochelle, NY.

"It would be a wonderful feeling to be able to stay home," Machado said.

Lamar Odom.. To The Knicks??

WOW.. Can't say I wouldn't approve.. L.O. to the KNICKS.. MY KNICKS..

Lamar Odom is owed $8.2 million in 2012-13, the final year of his contract, but can be bought out this summer for $2.4 million.

A source says Odom has the Knicks "on the top of his list" in the event he becomes a free agent.

"Lamar is big on being comfortable," the source said. "And New York is somewhere he can be comfortable."

Odom averaged career-lows of 6.6 points and 4.1 rebounds in 50 games with the Mavericks.

"It definitely won't be the fiasco that it was last year," the Odom source said of the 13-year veteran's approach to 2012-13. "He wants to find a place where he can end his career, and New York is ideal. He's won championships in the past and he wants to win another. And to do it there would be great."

The Knicks officially are expected to sign Mike Woodson to long-term contract this week, according to multiple sources.

The Knicks finished 18-6 under Woodson during the regular season.

Jeremy Lin's Agent Plans To Explore His Options

WELP.. I dunno how I feel about this one..

Jeremy Lin's agent, Roger Montgomery, said that he doesn't expect negotiations with the Knicks to be as simple as they have been portrayed by Mike Woodson.

Woodson said that Lin would "absolutely" return when he was asked about it following the end to New York's season.

“I don’t expect that," said Montgomery. "We’re not anticipating that’s going to happen. We don’t have assurances of anything. I know history shows most restricted free agents go back to their team, but I’m not going to assume anything. We’re waiting to see what happens.’’

A source confirmed that the Raptors will be one team pursuing Lin.

The Knicks cannot be outbid for Lin.

Free Agent Case COULD Help The Knicks..

Looks like the Knicks could get a break this summer.. emphasis on could.. we don't get many..

Shouts to Howard Beck for the info..

The union, which filed a letter Monday seeking arbitration, hopes to have the matter settled by the time free agency opens July 1. The union and the league must first select an arbitrator.

The case could also affect J. J. Hickson of the Portland Trail Blazers and Chauncey Billups of the Los Angeles Clippers.

At issue is whether a player retains his Bird rights when he changes teams through a waiver claim, as Lin, Novak, Hickson and Billups did this season.

The union contends that a player claimed on waivers should retain all contractual benefits, as he does when he is traded. The league disagrees, citing a specific clause in the labor agreement that indicates Bird rights are lost when a player is waived, even if another team claims him.

“We are confident that our interpretation of the agreement is correct,” said Mike Bass, an N.B.A. spokesman.

The union declined to comment.

Although the Bird rules — named for the former Celtics star Larry Bird — have been in place for years, this specific dispute had not arisen. For one, N.B.A. players are rarely claimed off waivers. And most waived players are not valuable enough for a team to invoke their Bird rights to keep them.

That changed in rather dramatic fashion this season when Lin and Novak — who were both playing on minimum contracts — had breakout seasons for the Knicks after being claimed on waivers in December. Both could receive lucrative multiyear offers this summer.

If Lin and Novak are determined to have so-called early-Bird rights, the Knicks could pay each one a starting salary up to the league average, about $5.3 million.

Without those rights, the Knicks could offer only small raises, unless they used a cap exception, the midlevel ($5 million) or the biannual ($1.9 million).

The Knicks would almost certainly need the entire midlevel exception to sign Lin, which would leave them unable to compete for Novak and Smith.

Lawyers for the league consider the matter cut and dried based on definitions contained in the collective bargaining agreement. But experts across the league believed otherwise when the issue first came up. Three general managers asked in February all said they believed that Lin had retained his early-Bird rights.

The league then clarified its view, and the union began pondering whether to challenge it.

“I think we feel very strongly about the case,” said Novak’s agent, Mark Bartelstein, adding, “I don’t think the players association would go through the exercise if they didn’t feel strongly about the merits.”

A player earns Bird rights by playing for the same team in consecutive years: two years for early-Bird rights and three for full Bird rights. An early-Bird player is eligible for the average player salary, without respect to the cap. A player with full Bird rights can sign for up to the maximum salary.

Novak and Lin were in position to earn their early-Bird rights before they were waived last December, Novak by San Antonio and Lin by Golden State. (Lin was subsequently claimed, and waived again, by Houston, before joining the Knicks.)

Hickson and Billups had full Bird rights before being waived (Hickson by Sacramento and Billups by the Knicks).

In general, a player retains his Bird rights in a trade, because his contract transfers with him. The union contends that the same principle should apply when a player is claimed off waivers, because the contract is still in effect and — similar to a trade — the player did not choose his new team.

In the union’s view, Bird rights should expire only when a player clears waivers, because he is a free agent at that point who can choose a new team and sign a new contract.

The N.B.A. players union is asking an arbitrator to clarify certain free-agent rights in a case that could immeasurably benefit the Knicks this summer, according to several people involved in the process.
The case concerns what are known as Bird rights, which allow a player to re-sign with his team without regard to the salary cap. The league contends those rights are lost when a player changes teams through waivers. The union is challenging that interpretation

If the union prevails, the Knicks would be able to re-sign both Jeremy Lin and Steve Novak, their top free agents, despite cap constraints. They would also retain a $5 million salary slot — known as the midlevel exception — for use on another player, possibly J. R. Smith, who can opt out of his deal.

But if the union’s challenge fails, the Knicks will probably lose Novak and possibly Smith when free agency opens in July. And they will have little ability to sign a significant free agent like point guard Steve Nash once they re-sign Lin

The union contends that the entire rationale for allowing Bird rights to transfer was to protect players who changed teams against their will, a principle that could apply to both trades and waiver claims. (The section of the uniform player contract that deals with waiver claims, in fact, cross references the rules governing trades.)

So union officials believe the spirit of the rule favors them. But if the arbitrator goes by the letter of the law, the union will probably lose the case and the Knicks will probably lose some key players.

To say if this worked out would be the BEST case scenario for the Knicks.. the possibility of adding Steve Nash to this team that is ready to win.. I like our chances.. anything can happen. Amare and Melo need a creative mind to get them the bal effectively.. I think Nash is that guy. Gonna be a hot summer Knicks fans.

Amare Discusses Steve Nash..

Looks like Amare wants Steve Nash in NY next year.. shyt me too.. but will Amare be there.. anyhoo..

Amare Stoudemire would like to play alongside Steve Nash in New York next season.

“Everyone knows that Steve loves New York and that New York loves Steve,” Stoudemire said. “I love Steve. It would be great to have him here next year.”

Nash will be an unrestricted free agent on July 1.

He also discusses the Knicks changes and teaming with Melo..

Amar'e Stoudemire stressed the need for the Knicks to create stability.

New York has overhauled the roster multiple times since his arrival and also made a coaching change since Stoudemire signed in 2010.

“We haven’t had no consistency the past two years,” said Stoudemire. “I’ve been on maybe three to four different teams since I’ve been here.”

Stoudemire also believes he and Anthony can become a successful pairing.

“There’s no doubt. I think it will work. Just have to see what Coach Woodson’s going to do to make it work.”
