Freddie Gibbs discussed his working relationship with Young Jeezy during a recent interview. Gibbs, an artist on Jeezy's Corporate Thugz Entertainment (CTE) imprint, says that the two share a similar drive, but that he's mostly been working on his own.


“We definitely got two different styles of working or what not. One thing we got in common is probably work ethic,” said Gibbs in a video. “We both definitely try to hammer out a lot of quality things so that’s really it though, but pretty much for the most part he do his work in his studio and I do mine. You know what I mean? We both got our own little things. Sh*t, I know with me I like to be kinda like closed off, to myself when I’m doing my sh*t.”

He also discussed remaining authentically himself, in musical sense.

“When I become a rich n***a maybe I’ll rap about that sh*t, but for now I just take it from a standpoint of me and those closest to me. And I think that’s what make the music so great,” said Gibbs.

If you don't have this mixtape.. you missing out.. with tat said..I was excited for Gibbs when he signed with Jeezy.. BUT.. Jeezy aint never.. EVER promoted no one.. sooooo.. we shall see..

Freddie Gibbs To Drop New Mixtape w/ DJ Drama

Looks like Gibbs is gearing up for yet another mixtape.. this time with DJ Drama.. the title BabyFaceKilla..

Freddie Gibbs has revealed that he plans to release his first Gangsta Grillz mixtape with DJ Drama.



Though the release date for the mixtape is yet to be announced, Gangsta Gibbs broke the news on Twitter, suggesting that he's the latest artist to drop a project under Mr. Thanksgiving's brand. Gibbs joins 50 Cent as one of the latest artists to put out a Gangsta Grillz tape.


"#BabyFaceKilla....Gangsta Grillz you bastard!!!!," he wrote.

Gibbs is currently working on a handful of other projects. In January, he revealed that he's working on a full-length album with producer Ski Beatz, while in February, he said that he's recording LPs with Young Jeezy and possibly The Alchemist. He will also drop a previously announced joint with Madlib.

Of course I will be checking this one out as the last mixtape was FIRE.. BUT.. the album title.. look at the pic.. nicca aint got no baby face mane.. ehh.. all jokes.. shouts to you Gibbs..

If I post a "Behind the Scenes" type of clip it's because it's about something I am personally amped for..with that said I am amped about Freddie Gibbs dropping the "Neighborhood Hoes" cut from his Cold Day in Hell mixtape (which was one of the best from 2011) in my opinion. But this cut featured 2Chainz and was a standout cut from the mixtape using the Jodeci sample for "What About Us"..Check it out.
